REPORT-cleaning water sources-ACTION COMMITTEE 11/6/2013-BMC 215/HS25/KGD/8/12)
As per the directions from the department ( DOeCC / E1BMC / 525 / 2012 dated 18/5/2013), the BMSC club in our school has designed a project in connection with the world environment day to clean and strengthen the water sources in the village including the school premises in ward 13 and 14 of EAST ELERI PANCHAYATH, VELLARIKKUNDU TALUK,KASARGOD DISTRICT.
A 31 member action committee has been formed in a meeting held at Happy Arts and Sports Club,Kollada to coordinate the activities which will be conducted this month ( 5/6/2013-5/7/2013 ).the meeting presided by SULOCHANA T.V ( Memberard 14 ) was inaugurated by SANTHOSH.K .V(MEMBER WARD 14)
THE PANCHAYATH PREDIDENT IS THE CHIEF PATRON AND THE WARD MEMBERS ARE THE OTHER PATRONS.
The pta president is the chairman and the school management committee chair man,the principal and the headmaster are the general convenors.The faculty in charge is the convenor.Representatives of the kudumbasree members ,other self reliance groups and NGOs are included in the working committee. Four subcommittees are formed based on the areas selected to be cleaned such as AMBECHAL (stream 1);CHEDIKKUNDU CHAL (stream 2 ); MILMA THODU ( STREAM 3 ); VALLIYANGANAM CHAL ( STREAM 4 ) all the four tributaries to Kariangode River ( Thejaswini River ).the subcommities will meet this saturday(15/06/2013) and decide on the various activites which will be completed within a month.Cleaning the streams,Removing the plastics from them,Distributing awareness leaflets to the families close to the streams,puting up warning boards,planting saplings on the shore,are some of the activities suggested by the committeee. A fund of maximum 15000/- has been set apart for the project.
Arjun T.R and Riya Joy the student leaders of BMSC WILL BE IN CHARGE OF THE VOLUNTEER ACTION as part of the project.
