An Awareness Class On Friday 24/05/2013 As Part Of HARITHAVAZHIYORAM PROJECT
An Awareness Class in environmental issues for volunteers was conducted today on Friday 24/05/2013 as part of HARITHAVAZHIYORAM PROJECT initiated by the NSS unit ,Bhoomithra Sena Club in GHSS Kamballur and the Social Forestry Department,Kasargod.The class was moderated by Bhaskaran Vellur earlier the programme was inaugurated by Sajeevan Kamballur,Chairman ,School Management Committee in a function presided by ward member Sulochana T V.
Mathew K D , The Principal;Radhakrishnan Master, Programme Officer,Angel Chacko And Sangeetha M S addressed the gathering.Jincy Sara Achan Kunhu welcomed the gathering and Shabana P V extended a vote of thanks.
Abdul Nassar ,Range Officer Kanhangad and Ramachandran K ,Social Forestry Officer gave details of the programme HARITHAVAZHIYORAM PROJECT.About 500 saplings will be supplied by the forest department which will be planted on the sides of the roads in Kamballur area in a stretch of about 10 km in four sections of roads .The protective guards will be provided by the Forest Department.The manual work involved will be facilitated by the student volunteers of Bhoomithra Sena Club ,the NSS unit and the local people. The work will begin on 5th June 2013 and is expected to be over by November 30,2013.
