AS PART OF THE INTERNATIONAL OZONE DAY (2013 SEP 16 )the following activities were conducted in the campus IN THE LAST MONTH
1. A rally for proper management of plastics
creating awareness about OZONE DAY ON SEP 16 ( A HEALTHY ATMOSPHERE ,THE
FUTURE WE WANT ) at 4 pm on 13 Sep 2013 as part of Onam celebrations in the
village.More than 100 villagers participated along with the volunteers.
2. ANOTHER rally for proper management
of plastics creating awareness about OZONE DAY ON SEP 16 ( A HEALTHY
ATMOSPHERE ,THE FUTURE WE WANT ) at 11 AM on 25 Sep 2013 as part of
MAATHRUKA SHUCHITHWA GRAMAM (Ideal Clean Village)state level programme in in
the village.
More than 300
PEOPLE(VILLAGERS,PROGRAMME OFFICERS FROM ALL THE UNITS IN THE DISTRICT,2
VOLUNTEERS EACH FROM 23 NSS UNITS AND OFFICIALS FROM VARIOUS
DEPARTMENTS,ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVISTS )participated along with the volunteers.
3.A painting competition was
conducted on the topic THOSE WHO
PIERCE THE UMBRELLA,about 10 students participated.
4.A poster competition and
exhibition was conducted on the topic ‘’When the Ozone is gone ‘’,about
10 student Groups participated.
5.A competition in clay modelling was
conducted on the topic “AN UMBRELLA TO THE EARTH ‘’, 5 students
participated.
6. An editorial competition was
conducted on the topic THE SIGNIFICANCE OF OZONE DAY ,about 15 students participated.
7.An exhibition of scientific
models and the clay models prepared by
school children was conducted on 18/10 2013
