600 Trees were distributed in collaboration with the Social Forestry Department ,Kerala.200 of them were planted on the roadside from Kamballur to Nidumkallu.
A quiz competition was conducted in the campus.
An essay competition also was conducted.
AT KOLLADA
A project of herbal garden was initiated in collaboration with the Ayurveda Hospital , Kollaada at 10.30 A M on 05 / 06 / 2014.Dr.Abdul Muneer ,the medical officer of Govt Ayurvedic Hospiltal presided over the function.Sulochana K.V,the ward member inaugrated the programme.
AT AYANNUR
200 saplings and 300 banana blossoms collected from the farm were disributed at Thejaswini Farm ,Ayannur on 09/06/2013.A seminar on enivronmental issues was also conducted.The volunteers visited the nearby riverside to find out large scale deforestation going on in the name of regulator cum bridge construction.Activitie are being planned to protect the biodiversity in the riverside. The members of the Bhoomithra sena club and Manojkumar.N,the faculty in charge and Radhakrishnan C K the former faculty in charge were present along with the members of the farmers society and other local people .Mr.Bhaskaran Vellur,a well known environmental activist inaugurated the programme.
